Currently we have a bit of a back log with the Serious Customs submissions, so to clear the pile on my desk a little I thought it was time to showcase Bruce Roth’s Supercharged Road Star. That’s right, Bruce’s bike has a Magnacharger Supercharger that assists his Road Star in punching out over 80hp!
Never one to walk a common line, Bruce Roth decided his Road Star needed something a little different and naturally a Supercharger came to mind! Superchargers are plain old bolt-on horsepower and Bruce’s relatively stock engine now punches out over 80hp, and he’s not done yet

As I’m sure with most, I bought the bike with thoughts of “minor” changes that would happen after a few years. I purchased the bike in May of 2000 and at Star Days the fun began. I started out slow, did the usual pipes with hypercharger and jet. What a difference!! I had installed some Yamaha chrome pieces over the next few months, but I saw the potential for so much more……..
I started to think, what would make this bike really different and unique. I started with the RC Components wheels that winter and a Yamaha/Corbin stiletto seat. The bike looked good, but something was missing. I wanted to do some motor work, but I wanted something that would stand out. That’s when the supercharger came to mind!! I ordered the Magnacharger Supercharger in December 2001 and decided on a “Looney” paint job with the custom fenders and tank extensions to finish the bike. I got all the parts by the end of May 2002 and had completed the installation and tuning by mid-June. There were several misc additions to help the look I was after. I have done all the changes to my bike myself.
