Can you imagine riding up to a stoplight with your Road Star in gear and not having to hold the clutch in, now you can. When the light turns green, twist the throttle and ride away. No clutch lever, no clutch cable and that's including hand or foot configurations!? Ready to up shift? Let off the throttle and shift.? Iron Thunder Cycles in Raleigh NC have put an auto clutch on a Britt Custom and the report is in, it works and it works well!? After 1,000 miles Iron Thunder pulled the clutch for an inspection and they say everything looks great.? Click Read More... for further info.

The unit is setup by having the stock clutch basket modified by Iron Thunder with 12 holes machined into the unit along with larger oil ports on the inside for lubrication and extra bearings.? Without going into too many specifics on the design, it works by the centrifugal force of the engine spinning to force the bearings out in turn providing twice the amount of pressure to the clutch plates compared to the stock springs, when you let off the throttle the bearings retract allowing you to up or down shift.

All Iron Thunder needs is your stock basket assembly complete with all the spacers, washers, disks, etc and they will set it up so all you need to do is bolt it back in the same as the stock setup.? As stated earlier you removed the clutch cable which leaves a hole in the top of the clutch cover so Iron Thunder even provides you with a trick dip stick to fill the spot.

This kit is perfect for those wanting a suicide shifter without the need to actuate the clutch by foot, or for those that may have problems with the clutch lever or a need to have the throttle on the left handlebar.

The kit will set you back $750.00US
